The Fortunate Islands: The Story of the Isles of… av Rex Lyon Bowley
This history of the Scilly Isles forms an excellent accompaniment to my visit this summer. It is in fact part history, part guidebook, part reflection on the Scillonian way of life. There are a lot of historical photographs, though they are unfortunately very grainy. Includes some useful appendices on population, governorship, a chronology, etc. though no particularly good map.
