This started out as a Cinderella retelling by an Auten-fan, and this is not meant as a bad thing.
But after a few chapters it seems the author either lost sight of the plotline, or interest in this story all together, and it became a rush job.
The scaring-off of the Captain was rather uninspired, and the couple of chapters that follow this event feel like they're part of the story-outline and not of the actual novel, making it feel like the author never finished writing the complete story, leaving out several chapters (I mean, in a couple of pages, the story jumps from a marriage proposal to a wedding night to an elderly couple being married 40 years).… (mer)
