Joseph F. Callo

Joseph F. Callo, whom Naval History magazine named author of the year in 1998, has written two previous volumes on Nelson. His articles on business, travel, and the military regularly appear in leading magazines and newspapers, and his television scripts have earned him creative awards. As a visa mer television producer, Callo helped create award-winning programs for NBC and PBS. A retired rear admiral in the U.S. Naval Reserve, Callo was commissioned from the Yale University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps in 1952 and assigned to sea duty with the Atlantic Amphibious Force.
