This is an okay Manga, theres some minor homophobia in the beginning that I really feel like it could have be dealt with differently and with a bit more of an explaination or justification? It was just kind of brushed aside and that with the body and eating issues there really should have been a little more focus on the mental health there as well as the rebuilding of ones self.... not really my favorite manga, but there were aspects that were cute at least... just could have used a little more to it.… (mer)

Gwyn is pretending to be a boy to play basketball. Azami falls in love but doesn’t realize Gwyn is a girl. Identity confusion and relationship drama ensues. I don’t have strong feelings about this one. For me, it was a light, quick read. Not really my cup of tea, but the art made me smile a few times. I realize I might not be the right audience for it but it was not bad. Not sure what else to say really.

It's a bit simplistic and reliant upon coincidences, but at least it leads to a satisfying confrontation toward the end.

I can't not mention: this was written and drawn by a French woman and produced in France, but is printed right to left as if it were produced in Japan. Something seems wrong there . . .… (mer)

This herky-jerky, French-produced knock-off of yuri manga was just too awkward for me to get into. High school freshman Azami has a crush on basketball playing junior Gwyn, who is not the boy Azami thinks she is -- in an unlikely and long-running case of mistaken identity. But it's a tomboy thing, not a transgender thing, and maybe not a lesbian thing so much as a pansexual thing?

The situation and the writing are a muddle for a lot of the book, leaving me bored and confused.

There seemed to be some course correction near the end, but there was also the introduction of a ridiculously villainous romantic rival, so that came out as a wash. I'm hesitant in this choice, but I'm going to try the second volume.… (mer)
