Yeager found Cassie when she was way too young for him. Realizing this he kept his distance for seven years and now he’s back and ready take what belongs to him.

There are a few twists and turns in this book to keep a reader involved from beginning to end. One twist will leave you wondering is Cassie’s mother was raped while another leaves you asking who will help Yeager when he needs it most. There is a decided lack of steaminess but there is a lot to be said for the way the author focuses on building the strong beginnings to a solid foundation for the couple.

This the second time I have read this book and to be honest the first reading was more enthralling than this second round for me. Will I try a third reading? That remains to be seen.

Well if he is anything like I imagine James Turner to look like I do not think I would mind. This book was short, cute, and appealing to the entire mind. I loved the book it was just enough to keep me satisfied but it certainly left me wanting more. I loved the chemistry and absolutely adored the romance. I will definitely be picking up book 2 in the series.

This was a really good step sibling romance! Erik is a Marine and Darlene is a hairdresser that has self esteem issues because of the way that her dad and stepmom always treated her. Darlene resents Erik for all the attention that he gets from their parents.

Erik loses a leg in Afghanistan and he is discharged from the Marines. He comes home not knowing what he is going to do. Darlene and he start to spend more time together and she realizes that he is not the golden boy that she had always thought he was. I really like their parents reaction to learning that they are together. Erik and Darlene were pretty shocked at how well they took it. Erik's dad Larry was a real piece of work. He tries to cause trouble for them and I loved the way that Erik chose to handled it.

When Erik finally chose what he wanted to do with his life I was shocked! It came out of nowhere. I never would have thought of that, so kudos to the author for thinking that one up! I really liked the happily ever after. Overall, this was a really good story with a twist that you will never see coming!… (mer)
