William Chemerka

This book was about Davy Crockett and how he fought in the Alamo and the Creek Indian War and many other battles. He was also a freemason but was also known for wearing a coonskin hat with a tail of a raccoon. He was well known for telling stories, fighting in battles, and served in the US House of Representatives.
He was a very well known man that had many adventures and did many things.
I really liked how they did this book from A to Z, but I didn't like how it was not in order, it seemed to be scattered information. The pictures in this book was probably the best ones I have seen thus far. I really liked reading this book because I knew about and heard of Davy Crockett but did not know that much about him.
I would extend this book by telling more about his family, it has a timeline at the end of the book but didn't say anything about his family in the book. It states he got married twice and had three children in both marriages and that was it. I would also extend this book by giving a story about his upbringing because it doesn't state anything of how he grew up or had any brothers and sisters etc.… (mer)
