Greetings, Adventurers! This is not your ordinary guidebook, but it is essential as you travel the evergreen roadways of the Pacific Northwest. Why? Because the bridges of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are home to many intriguing monsters. They vary widely in appearance and personality. Some are grumpy, some are mischievous, and some are nearly impossible to spot! Some live in groups among their particular species, while others live alone and are one-of-a-kind. For example, there's Irving the Noble Vegetarian who lives under the Astoria-Megler Bridge ans smells like vegetables and hair gel. Or the Flixies, a group of winged pixie creatures who live under the Fremont Bridge in Portland. Each monster incorporates the history and environment of thier homes, making Monsters Under Bridges engaging AND educational! Jolby is a collaborative design and illustration studio based in Portland. Josh Kenyon and Colby Nichols have combined their talents as art directors, designers, and illustrators to do the images for this book. Find out more about them over here. Rachel Roellke Coddington is also a Portlander. She's been writing stories and poems for a very long time. She also loves singing, beat-boxing, handcrafting flowers from paper. More about her over here.
