Andy Cohen was born on June 2, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri. He received a B.A. degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University. He is the host and executive producer of Watch What Happens Live, Bravo's late night, interactive talk show. He also serves as executive producer of The Real visa mer Housewives franchise and hosts the network's reunion specials. He's won an Emmy and two Peabody Awards for his work. He is the author of New York Times Bestsellers, Most Talkative: Stories from the Frontlines of Pop Culture, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year and Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries. Superficial: More Adventures from the Diaries of Andy Cohen

The Story:
Andy’s life is exhausting. The sheer number of activities he participates in in a day wears me out just hearing them. Although he has a busy life, he seems to have a fun life too. I found this book a little too long. I’m not sure what stories he could have cut and now I’m wondering what he actually did cut because we did not get a true daily accounting but anyway while I was entertained, I did feel like it went on a bit too long. His stories about Wakka make me second guess adopting a dog. Wakka deserves and has a loving home but some of his triggers causing him to bite people scare me. I also know he is sweet and loving 97% of the time.

I really loved the premise of the book and did enjoy the quotes. However, a quarter of the book were quotes from "The Real Housewives...". Although I do understand that Andy hosts those shows and they are important to him; however, there are many women who deserved to be recognized for their quotes and the importance they are to history. I really enjoyed his little trivia tidbits and his comments on the quotes.
Can’t remember quite when I bought this so we’re going with this date. Then we moved and I finally got back to finishing it. A lot of fun and a good winter read.

Even though Andy is wealthy and has a nanny, his struggles as a single dad were actually relatable. He writes about feeling insecure at one of his son Ben’s birthday parties because he doesn’t feel he measure’s up to the other parents. My favorite relatable moment is when he moved Ben to a toddler bed and Ben would not stay in it and would get up super early. Andy wrote, “This toddler bed is ruining my life!” I’ve totally been there, Andy!
I listened to this on audio, which is a must. Andy reads it himself which makes it even funnier. His comedic timing is spot on. And he spills tea all over the place, which I love.
I hope he keeps publishing his diaries – they’re the best!… (mer)
