Reading Group Choices, an organization that recommends "discussible" books to reading group members, is happy to partner with Malaprop's Bookstore on this reading group extravaganza. In our fast-paced world, reading groups can offer us the time to slow down, catch up with friends, and talk about all of the wonderful books out there. We want to celebrate those readers with a morning of wonderful giveaways, yummy snacks, and rounds of author speed dating with Maureen Corrigan, Reif Larsen, Margaret Lazarus Dean, Mary Norris, Eli Gottlieb, Joni Tevis, Chris Cander and Heidi Pitlor.

The authors will all be available to sign copies of published books and galleys of their upcoming books as well. Discounts will be provided by Malaprop's for any books purchased that day for your reading group.

Maureen Corrigan , Leave Me Alone, I'm Reading: Finding and Losing Myself in Books.

Maureen Corrigan, book critic for NPR's Fresh Air, is a critic-in-residence and lecturer at Georgetown University. She is an associate editor of and contributor to Mystery and Suspense Writers (Scribner) and the winner of the 1999 Edgar Award for Criticism, presented by the Mystery Writers of America. Corrigan's literary memoir, Leave Me Alone, I'm Reading! was published in 2005. Corrigan is also a reviewer and columnist for The Washington Post's Book World.
