Honestly, when I read the reviews, I was expecting slut shaming, rape, abuse. But there was none of that. I don't know what other people are reading, to have such poor reviews.

The story centers around a young woman, without giving away much of the story, a young woman who is raised as a pleasure slave. It's no secret throughout the entire book that this is what she is. She's kidnapped, or stolen is better word because kidnapped implies that she belonged to someone in the past or whatever, but she is stolen by a bunch of Barbarians to put it matter of factly.

While in the care of these barbarians, she's treated like a pleasure slave, but she's not abused. They don't hurt her. They get her consent. I don't know what some of you people have been reading, but not once was she raped. Not once when she abused.

I think the problem is, people don't read the warnings. Right off the bat they tell you that this is a trigger book. There are some people out there that don't like rough sex. There are people out there that don't understand that people are tormented. They have broken souls. Just because maybe on the outside they look fine, on the inside they could be worked apart. And satora she sees this in these men.

And while she works at trying to heal them, they heal her and return. They open her mind up to sexual pleasures so to speak. Things that she may not have understood. But never once do they say you're going to do this or else.

Even Sheriff gave her an option. A choice. She could do what she was told, or not. She had the choice to either accept her punishment, or not to. Okay sure she had said no, I'm sure that it would have been a lot worse but, she had the choice.

I'll be the first to admit that Sheriff's opinion of her is that fucked up still moving on.

The story overall I enjoyed. Maybe I'm just a kinky fuck I don't know. But the story was very very tame. I have read so many books over the past 6 months, 7 months 8 months whatever, this year. This year I have read so many different genres, different levels of erotica, different levels of trigger warnings. This book is maybe a three maybe a four on the trigger warning scale out of 10.

Honestly I don't even think it was that much lol. Yeah there were some pretty hot parts but I think there was more to the story than just the pleasure slave. There are these men that have these tortured souls. And I just want to like pick them apart and figure out what makes them all tick. I've for one, liked the book. And I would recommend this to several of my friends. As a matter of fact I think I will. Let's see what social media can I hit with this. I think I'm going to issue a challenge to some of my friends on some of my games and see if they have same opinion as I do.

Thanks for reading my review, and to the people that gave this book poor reviews after only reading a couple chapters. Shame on you.

Oh my god. The pain in this book. Her pain. Their pain....

I actually cried LOL

I honestly have to keep saying it, I don't know what book other people were reading when they gave this series a bad review of any sort.

There is so much beyond the whole pleasure slave. There is the hidden pain of each of the characters. There's a history, something to learn. And all the while we're learning more about her. And cherry. And the other women that are part of this series.

I just think that people have to stop with their knee-jerk reactions when they read a book about slaves. You have to take into consideration everything around them. The whole context of the story. Don't just focus on the fact that there's a sex slave. I mean come on now you've read the book, lol, does it really look like she's complaining? She's not happy, but she accepts it.

I stick by what I said before, I would recommend this to all of my friends. I haven't actually been online, at the computer recently, but as soon as I am I will post it to my social media.

Also, I'm going to work on a couple videos for tiktok. I am going to pull up a bunch of photos that I think would make good matches for each of the guys, and each of the ladies.

I still like the series. I'm still following along. I would leave a more in depth review like my others but I had a very long day today, and I am so exhausted.

I still don't see what other people were seeing. If that makes sense.

For the time, the era, it seems like an appropriate book. Or story. And honestly if we heroin of the story doesn't have a problem with the way she's being treated, who is it anybody else's business to judge?

And I think another thing that people are forgetting, it is a story. It's not real life. I understand that in some countries is kind of treatment actually happens, and I believe that once upon a time it happened to all women, but it doesn't happen at this current moment. It's just a story.… (mer)

As much as I enjoy this series, the punishment was too over the top.

I threw up.
Sure, it took a few hours but, it messed me up.

Ok, so we can argue this one of two ways...

We can say that this is the work of.a.good.author that knows how to get under your skin and make you experience what the characters are experiencing....

Or...

We can say the author went too far. The humiliation, 21 smacks, of choice weapon... The LEASH..And so much more... Was just too much.
And believe me... I know evil...And this topped that...almost.

In the end, I had to lower the stars given. To me, although I am happy that the author for into my head, I cannot condone that kind of treatment...Especially after everyone understood that she didn't act alone. She was the only one punished and treated like shit.

I was also disappointed with the pregnancy results. I would have loved to have seen those puddles with sucks dealing with everything they put her through, knowing it could have hurt their child! Maybe it could have changed them!

Sigh.... I almost abandoned this series after that punishment. Almost.
