A collection of chapters from a 2009 conference on the use of collaborative media in learning, and primarily in schools. The selection includes more detailed empirical studies as well as large-scale critical pieces, and as an amateur in the field I would imagine that it gives a reasonable overview of the state of the art in how the field of education thinks about collaborative media.
