Editors of Commentary Magazine

I found this book fascinating. The participants by and large write very clearly and do no weigh down their opinions with jargon. The one thing that might be a trifle off-putting to non-Jews is the use of Hebrew terms and references to incidents that may be unfamiliar. I did not find this difficult, and learned a few things looking up who Sammai is and the Noahide Commandments. I learned a lot and their responses were thought-provoking, even to an atheist like myself. I recommend it to almost anyone interested in religions, especially the Abrahamic ones.… (mer)
