A book about a dashing highwayman and his unsavoury companions is usually a good read. Add to this betrayal, a slight touch of the supernatural and a couple of unexpected twists. Exciting.
A historical tale that will take you to the 1700s, and walk you through the lowest places in society along with Shanklin.
The plot is marvellous constructed, and if you get how the two plot-lines would merge before the end, you're way smarter than me. It came as a complete surprise, and yet, it makes perfect sense, that's how well it has been done.
A suspenseful ride with interesting characters and very well written this is a book that will not let you down. Truly fantastic.

This short story had an inconsistency which pulled the rating down. The writing was good, giving a strong sense of the time, the scene and the characters. The pace was measured.

Many deeper messages throughout the story about family and loyalty. Would have loved to know a bit more about Elizas gift but over all seriously well done plot. Loved the way it all came together at the end.
