I won this book through GOODREADS.COM in return for an honest review, and although the book is for children, I quite enjoyed it and want to read more! William Locke is summoned home and as he gets there the king tells him that he is the only one that can defeat the darkness that is covering the land. Will is just a boy and he saw the defeated soldiers so what can he do? The king's wizard assures Will that only he knows the answer to the question and that he must go alone to save the land, but Will's dad insists that Will's dog go also. Will is warned that he must go alone. Unknown to Will is that the darkness knows he's coming and sets numerous traps for the pair. Can they venture through imps, witches, harpies, and giants to get to the Millennium Stone and does he know the answer to save them all?… (mer)
