I found Winfred really annoying. She's just a little too wacky, a little too credulous, a little too overbearing. The nerdy quotes/references were leaned on a bit too much in a bid to 1) make the readers like the characters, and 2) show chemistry. Winfred also doesn't really DO anything in the story - she just kinda tags along reciting her dissertation. (This book only has two female characters, btw, one of which is just a love interest and one that's purely psychotic).
Its a cute, quick, but flawed story.
