I'm not a fan of romantic comedies, as I have said in past reviews. They make me cringe and I quickly get annoyed and stop reading them. But that changed when I read Until We Collide by Charlotte Fallowfield, which had me rolling on the floor with laughter. And now I'm thrilled to say that the author is back with with a new book called Never The Bride, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but this book is even better than Until We Collide.

Abbie Carter has suffered through so many duties as a bridesmaid, that she thought she would never find her mister right. But until then she has Georgie (her best friend) her Neighbor Daphne, who was like a surrogate mother to her and Sumo her bull dog, that seemed to have a grudge against her. And add to that high arch nemesis Fifi, Abbie's live in Dilbury was a simple one. But Abbie wondered if she would be stuck clutching bouquets and walking up the aisle in awful bridesmaids dresses for the rest of her life.

But one wedding reception she met the amazing American, Miller Davis, who was simply perfect for her, and luckily for Abbie, he thought she was perfect too! There was just one thing that stood in their way... the Atlantic Ocean, see you I left wondering? Will Abbie keep her man? or will she always be the bridesmaid??

OMG!! This book is so freaking amazing!! I love it so much! It truly is a masterpiece. I love Abbie, with her self-deprecating humor, and willingness to make a fool of herself, to show someone how much they mean to her. I love Miller's vulnerability and uncertainty to romance and trust. And Daphne and George's character just really perfect the book.

The author's writing is witty, heartwarming and the plot had me doubled over with laughter! This book is simply perfection and one of my favorites of all time.

I give Never the Bride 5 stars!!

Georgie Basset is the fun loving dog groomer of Dilbury, that funny little village on the border of Wales, and if you have read any other Charlotte Fallowfield books, you would have read all about this crazy little village.

But that is not where we begin our journey, nope! We start it in Mexico, where we find Georgie and her best friend Abbie Carter, after Annie fled from Dilbury, after Miller and the cake scandal...and despite Disaster Carter happening EVERYWHERE they go, from being a reject from the blue man group, mauled by a dolphin and being in a resort where everyone things you're a lesbian! Georgie finds something more than laughter at the situations they find themselves (or Abbie) in! She also finds Adonis like Weston Argent; retired Captain of Her Majesty's Royal British Army, and current personal trainer.

But after being cheated on my her ex Greg, Georgie is scared to enter a relationship, but she takes that chance, and trusts him....but is she making a big mistake?

OMG this book had me in stitches from the get go! Seriously! Charlotte Fallowfield absolutely kills it in this book! From the beyond ridiculous bad luck, to those cringe-worthy moments we can all relate too! And though I have said in the past that I'm not a rom-com fan! The author has proven me to be a liar, as this book is brilliant.

The plot to The Great Escape is light hearted, but in those serious moments, the author manages to change the mood of the book slightly, but doesn't destroy the flow of the storyline. And when it comes to the character's, Well! You love them all! But I think I love Bertie just that little more.

I give The Great Escape 5 (thousand) stars! Truly THE book of the summer!

When you pick up The Best Medicine by Charlotte Fallowfield prepare you self for many things; the sudden urge for pizza, the need to have a hefty first aid kit handy, and laughing SO much, and you might need to invest in Tena lady!

From the moment you start reading The Best Medicine, you cannot help but relate to Charlie! She is us, at our core! A pizza, and book loving author, that is accident prone, but she is also a workaholic, whom has the heart of gold, who craves love, but doesn't recognize it, even if she got it tattooed on her butt! But her key achievement, is her discovery of Pizza Man! The best superhero in the world!

The Best Medicine is truly another home run for this author, whose Dilbury series seriously out of this world funny! The writing and plot are superb! And you too will fall in love with the characters, and this little town.

I give The Best Medicine 5 stars!

Some people have personal chefs, some people have personal trainers. I want a personal author, and it must be Charlotte Fallowfield: "Write up a little something for me, will you? I desperately need a good laugh or a good cry or some sexy romance." Yes, she's that good, and yes, I want her to write for me at my whim.

The Best Medicine is the third entry in the Dilbury Village series of romantic comedy novels by Charlotte Fallowfield. And, oh, what a clever girl she is. Each new book is like a walk down memory lane, but with an improved prescription for your glasses so you see things you missed or didn't know were there. She expertly weaves in the adventures of the latest cottage dweller - this time it's Charlie in Jasmine Cottage, with a perfect, though through those new eyes, retelling of what started with Abbie in Holly Cottage and continued with Georgie in Ivy Cottage. So here I am, loving learning all of Charlie's story in Jasmine Cottage (and already fingers and toes crossed about who I want her to be with) while getting to relive Abbie's and Georgie's adventures - well, misadventures and antics is probably more accurate. And I know full well that, yes, I am going to re-read Never the Bride and The Great Escape right after I finish The Best Medicine, at which time I'll probably read it again, too. Just like I had to go back and cry and laugh and snort with Abbie while reading Georgie's story for the first time, it's going to be the same with Charlie. And side note - I am in awe - how does she do it? Funny, sad, romantic, sexy (sigh…think of Miller, Weston, Kitt….), can't-put-it-down AND all the stories perfectly woven together.

If you aren't convinced and haven't stopped reading this review and moved to Dilbury yet, how about this? Calling Charlie accident-prone doesn't even begin to cover it. She managed to - wait, no, I can't tell you the details, much too funny and would spoil everything - but she had no fewer than 13 little accidents in the course of this story and still lived to tell about it. Thank goodness for McFitty (hot factor ten, sense of humor zero) and Pizzaman (smells like oregano). The author says she had these "mishaps" herself, just over a longer period of time. No, I wouldn't laugh at someone's misfortune and pain. Yes I would.

In addition to Abbie and Georgie and Charlie and all the hot guys, Daphne of the bossy, outrageous comments and Quinn from the US still learning just what all these Brit words and expressions mean are back. Think of courgette; I had to look up.

Charlie is still writing her very successful erotic novels and is still her lovable unfiltered, ungraceful self, saying out loud whatever pops into her head: "You'd be amazed at my mental capacity for kink and explicit erotica." or "Say you just found me dead on the floor, waiting for an undertaker."

I love everything about these books and everybody in Dilbury Village, and I especially love this stuff, "I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him even closer, so close not even a page of descriptives of the most perfect kiss I'd ever been a recipient of could come between us." Even though I read this book straight through as I always do when visiting Dilbury Village, I probably took a lot longer than necessary to finish, since I kept reading the good parts over and over (and yes, I confess, over), which was a lot of re-reading since they are all good parts.

I received a copy of The Best Medicine from the author. I highly, definitely, positively recommend you read it right now. And. Charlotte, get going with our trip to Honeysuckle Cottage please.
