The book is set up in a dictionary format with terms divided by subject area. It's of hardy construction, and actually beautifully collected with hardy pages and a lovely blue, orange, and green format. Illustrations are full color. My only concern is how one would use this book. To whom do I recommend it and for what? I would assume anything in here is also included in some form in a math textbook so it would seem a superfluous resource for a high school student. Maybe as a source for additional problems? Maybe for someone reviewing for the GRE or SAT that doesn't have a math textbook handy? I'm not sure.… (mer)

I was happy to read through this book, as it will be a great help to my 8th graders. I liked that the math topics are separated and the vocabulary words are easy to find. The definitions are clear as well as the accompanying examples . The resouces at the end of the book are very helpful too! Often times my students perceive math as confusing and unclear. By directing them to this resource, they can explore the mathematical vocabulary and can work through the examples. I know this book will be used often in my classroom. Thank you!… (mer)
