Author Sue Fliess will be stepping ashore at Hicklebee's March 6 @ 3:30 for a special story time for the preschool set. She'll be featuring her her newest book, How to Be a Pirate.

Join local children's author and illustrator Betsy Snyder for a special story time and craft to celebrate the release of her newest books, It's a Firefly Night (by Dianne Ochiltree) and I Haiku You. Both books are a great choice to show some love on Father's Day.

Local author and illustrator Betsy Snyder got her start as a staff artist at American Greetings before leaving in 2007 to pursue publishing opportunities full-time. Today, she is an award-winning author and illustrator of children's books including I Haiku You, Haiku Baby, Have You Ever Tickled a Tiger?, and Sweet Dreams Lullaby. Most recently, her artwork for Tons of Trucks (by Sue Fliess) earned a place in the Society of Illustrator's The Original Art 2012 exhibition. Betsy lives in Independence, Ohio, where she shares a studio with her graphic-designer husband.
