- Will Gater has written for the UK’s top astronomy magazines and has appeared on television and radio (including the BBC’s The Sky at Night) to promote astronomy and science. He has worked for the European Space Agency’s Hubble Space Telescope press office, the European Southern Observatory’s public outreach department, and is a former news editor of Astronomy Now magazine in the UK. He holds a degree in astrophysics from University College London. Today he writes for the BBC’s Sky At Night Magazine. He regularly blogs about astronomy on his website http://www.willgater.com.

The Mysteries of the Universe: Discover the… av Will Gater
This DK Children's book is an excellent read. It is very engaging and will keep you entertained. Each page shares an aspect about the universe. Things like planets, comets, solar systems are covered throughout the book. The illustrations are second to none. The pictures really bring the book to life. Children will find themselves reading and learning for hours.
The Mysteries of the Universe is a stunning space encyclopedia for young readers to explore, with reference pages packed with fascinating information, little learners will be captivated as they journey through the vastness of the Universe. Ages 6-9.
I first encountered this book at my local library and found it was one of those books I simply had to own. The cover and the gold trimmed pages were so beautiful, I immediately bought it from my local bookstore. It's filled with stunning color illustrations and so many facts about the universe. This is one you definitely want to be on your book shelves.
I would love to gift this book to many of the kids in my family. The illustrations are stunning and the content is presented in a language that children can understand without oversimplifying the information. I would even encourage parents to read it along with their kids, they might learn a thing or two they did not know before. I sure did!
