Very in your face advice and requirements in his mind to raise your daughter as a smart tough young woman confident in herself and her abilities. Teaches the importance of not being dependant on men, even good ones, but espicially the bad ones.
I really loved the book except sometimes his "colorful" language was a little more colorful than I'm comfortable with. The book is a strong call to action for Christians to understand they will face tribulation in life and Biblical principles on how to deal with tough times. Giles says most Christians today are pantywaists ... and most churches and most Christians aren't the Church Militant God calls us to be. He wants to shake up apathetic Christians, and I think he succeeds.
