Well written account of an American’s WW 2 experiences. The author was a little different as he served as an ambulance driver in the AFS in N Africa and then joined the (British) Indian Army, specifically, a Ghurka rifle unit. His account is interesting and well constructed. He wrote 50 years after the events and is straightforward about periods where he does not have specific memories of events. Recommended.
