Sweater surgery : how to make new things from old… av Stefanie Girard
Lots of bags to accessorize one's every mood. A few interesting pieces of jewellery constructed from felted sweaters. Some very odd toys. Mittens constructed on the trace-your-hand model. Sweaters cut into woolly tank tops with added fabric ruffles: this seems odd to me, because if it's cold enough to wear a sweater, my arms and shoulders will want the warmth too. And the same in reverse for the idea of cutting the front and back off a turtleneck, leaving only the neck and sleeves, and calling it a shrug. Maybe you could wear it together with one of the woolly tank tops and have a whole sweater.

TLDR: Nothing here that I want to make, but ymmv.… (mer)

I checked this out of the library for inspiration, but I wasn't very impressed. I already knew that you can use old sweaters to create new items, but I wanted to get some design ideas, 'cause that's not my strong suit. Most of the projects are slight variations on the rest, though, so there aren't many actual ideas. If you're looking for a lot of slightly different purse and necklace patterns, this would be a good place to look.

The instructions were hazy and vague. Unless you are already well-versed in repurposing sweaters, this is more of an inspirational journey than an instructional one.
