Kind of ridiculous, but at the same time a good read. The over-all theory behind the book is mildly dubious, then again, it still makes as least as much sense as the Yurovsky note upon review (at least the author has reasoning and arguments behind his opionions instead of government propaganda and cover-ups). I won't reveal too much, but basically the author (who is an orphan) has published the work under a false name and has come to the conclusion after considerable research that his father was the Tsarevich Alexis.

But the author has some salient points which leave the reader with things to ponder. He actually does a pretty good job of criticising the DNA tests done in 1993 on the alleged Romanov bones, which were so hilariously far from conclusive and convincing and would never stand up in any modern court as legitimate evidence. The book takes an interesting turn near the end which I won't spoil, but honestly is pretty compelling and entices one to continue reading.

Again, I don't really believe the guy, but his book makes for good reading, especially for those who just can't stand another work on what we're supposed to believe happened to the Romanovs (*yawn*).
