Your wife needs you to be tender during that time and very tolerant when she is unreasonable or impossible...a wise husband checks the calendar he keeps on which he marks large Xs on each day for a week preceding it." and "You may have a real challenge if your wife is going through the menopause...It's almost more than a woman can bear, and I have seen some turn into hags when the horrible burden of losing their husbands is placed on them."

Seriously? I don't have words for how bad this book is. The above is only one example of the condescending nature of the whole thing.… (mer)
