Recensioner

There are twenty-five main stories in this collection. Each story has a short introduction and is followed by short versions of other similar Native American stories. Then there is a section about connecting the story to one's own life. Some may find that section useful but I was mainly interested in the story itself and in the variety of stories featuring women the author collected. There is also an extensive bibliography for those who wish to do further reading.

Each tale is followed by "Connecting the story to Your Life" which seem contrived and strained. I can do my own inner thinking without the author's suggestions, thank you very much.

I have really enjoyed this book. It has info on what makes peppers hot, a brief history of different varieties, recipes and best of all to me, great photos of these wonderful mouth burning delights.
