As I was reading this book I was saddened ,knowing that this was the final climb of the Summit Murder Mysteries.But on the upside there are three more books I have not read yet. This storyline was so realistic, the incidents on the climb could really have been pulled out of the newspapers. Once again we go along with Scott Devlin,Tom and Natasha, Dr.Calvin,Tarja and Quentin Stern. The President of then United States is also along for this ride. This story has all the twists and turns of a true mystery, it keeps you guessing until the the very end. From descriptions of the locale of Tanzania would be a wonderful place to visit.

Even if you have not read any of the Summit Murder Mysteries, you must at least read this one and it will pull you in to read the other ones. Although a series they can all stand alone.

Once again I was not disappointed, this climb transports you to Argentine and Chile. The scenery as described is beautiful and you will also learn a little history of the Inca's. This time Scott Devlin is joined by Lester Fowl, Quentin and Kira Stern, Raul the leader of the expedition, Carlos the owner of the hostel, Evo and of course Natasha Sodoc in the background conducting her own business. The story is set around three golden Inca idols that all seem to be looking for and not completely believing that they exist.

I could not put this book down and I am totally addicted to the Summit Murder Mystery series.Everyone that is a mystery buff must read this series.… (mer)

This is a story of a group of climbers together again to climb Everest to find the body of Derek Sodoc lost on expedition the previous year. Derek's extremely rich father puts pressure on the climbers that were with his son when he died. Those men are Scott Devlin, Peer, Dr Calvin, Rusty and Tom, there are also three women Crystal,Diana and Tarja the widow. While reading this book it is almost like being on the mountain with the climbers, you learn about high altitude sickness, extreme cold and what it can do to your body, you also learn about the locale ans its people, the Sherpa.

Murder on Everest is the second book I have read in the Summit Murder Mystery series and I can't wait to read them all, they are wonderful, beautifully written books and this comes from a person who does not like to read anything in a series.

This was the first Summit Murder Mystery that I have read and it was wonderful. After just ending one climb Scott must go on another to recover two golden idols before they fall into the wrong hands. This climb on Vinson Massif has never been made in the winter and could prove treacherous. On this climb we have Scott,Esmerelda,her brother Ignacio,a millionaire Robert Ainsworth,Carlos, Quentin Stern,his ex wife Kira and some military as they are also testing equipment for the army such as outdoor suits,buildings and vehicles. The character descriptions and the description of the snow equipment being used is extremely well written, along with the historical facts of the other mountains. I can't wait to read the other books.… (mer)
