New York City girl Jessie, tired of her life in publishing meets Jake, a cowboy who is happiest when he is on his horse. They fall in love. They marry and struggle to blend their lives in rural Virginia. Jake is very religious, Jessie not so much. Jake loves horses and Jessie is afraid of them. When things get really bad, Jessie does what all romance heroines do, she runs away instead of talking to Jake. Rurally Screwed does have a happy ending, and it is worth reading the book to find out.
