A School teacher from Bradford Massachusetts, Mrs. Ann H. Judson was one of the first American Missionaries.
Kindle may have updated this e-book edition since I read it in 2012, as it is currently listed on Amazon as having been published on February 6, 2013. The version I read has a considerable number of scanning errors. A PDF of the original edition of the book (1834) is available on Google Books. The PDF is preferable to the Kindle edition that I read, and I will use the PDF going forward.
Knowles's Memoir of Roger Williams was the first comprehensive biography of Roger Williams. It included many primary source documents that had previously not been available to the general public. Although the book contained errors of both fact and interpretation, it was a major step forward in understanding the life and thought of this important Anglo-American thinker.… (mer)
