Shakespeare's Theatre av Andrew Langley

A book about the original Globe and the reconstruction now in London more or less on the original site. Mixes illustrations of the old and of the new in progress with photos of the new one under construction and in use. There are illustrations of the new Globe with the modern London skyline in the background. The architectural illustrations are quite good. Photos of a performance in progress lead me to think that I would find seeing a play at the new Globe rather boring. I bet those seats are expensive!… (mer)
