An engrossing look at life during the Blitz in London, 1940 to 1941.

An interesting and often disturbing account of the historically destructive hurricane that hit Galveston, Texas during 1900. I gave this a so-so rating, as I thought the narrative Larson created veered off into multiple directions, with too much focus on Isaac's personal life. Some chapters read more like a fictional account versus non-fiction. The inclusion of photos in the book would have been a welcome addition.

another Larson masterpiece.
He effectively shifts point of view between the passengers and crew of the Lusitania, the crew of the submarine and the nearly as shady individuals occupying the mysterious room 40 in the uk. Fantastic

like all eric larson's book this was interesting and well written. He didn't have as many side stories as usual, which for me was disappointing. Still, an interesting peek at what life must have been like in Germany as the Nazis came to power
