Let's get one thing straight, right now. I loved the idea behind this story and if not for the MULTITUDE of grammar errors, and missing words, wrong words, and mixing up whose POV was happening at the time in the chapter... yes, that was an issue in chapter 8, where the author mixed up Max and Jane... have fun with that chapter! Anyway, if not for all of that, I would have given this book 5 stars! Yes, HI Janelle, I see you reading, and yes, I would give this a five if not for all the issues.

I loved the issues they all faced, and I can't wait to read what comes next for them... and I want to beat Max with a bat, or a shovel...

I love Wes, and I hate that the author talks about him being gay but, clearly he isn't... there is one point when Max talks about not being straight OR gay but, she always talks about Wes being gay... He's BI.

Anyway, I just got the next book, so I am going to go read it, and pray that it is better written.

Wish me luck!

I really wanted to love this book. But I didn't. It jumped around too much. There was just not enough connection between the characters. Occasionally would see that 1 point where it look like maybe this is the turning point. And then it would just fall flat. There was too much anger and. Not enough love.

And I am not even going to get started on the grammar issues. OMG.

I read this book more than a year ago, and I haven't wrote a review then. But I thought I should at least thank the author for making me set out to explore the M/M romance genre. Although it's a menage book, Wesley and Max's relationship was beautiful on it's own.

I remember I was blushing so freaking hard, though I was alone, no one was watching me, no one knew what I was reading. I was giddy with excitement, and didn't understand why am I liking this, I should stop. Of course I didn't. And it wasn't just the sex part I liked, but the emotion's ran so deep and I wanted to know more. It's like this with other gay couples? Do they experience this deep level of love? If so, I want some of it myself.

Thus began my slide through the unknown. Since then I read hundreds of gay stories, got through heartbreak several times, wallowed in self-pity, fell in love with a lot of characters, and used up an insane amount of tissues. Before, I haven't considered myself a sensitive chick at all, but nowadays even a smile could make me tear up.

So thank you Amelia Lefay for introducing me to this genre. :)

The first volume was terrible, but sexy and fun. This volume was terrible, and far less sexy or fun. Also, this premise that in 2017 Max would lose his career because he was in love with a man is ridiculous. Max is a reporter/anchor. I think Anderson Cooper, Ronan Farrow, Rachel Maddow, Shep Smioth, and many others would be surprised to find that is the case. And people refused to eat Wes's food because he was in love with a man? Really? As if there is a dearth of Gay chefs and servers? Absurd. And that his mother couldn't remain in politics because her son was in love with a man? I wish someone had told Dick Cheney he couldn't be VP because he had a Gay daughter -- it would have been the only good use of homophobia ever. Also, I don't think the author knows any toddlers. They don't act like that. If there is not yet a young adult porn genre, this might be the founding text.… (mer)
