I really enjoyed the first story Hey Roberto Hu. This is a story about Leyte visiting his son in Venezuela. The description of their adventures and the different things they encountered were really interesting.

The other six stories were interesting but didn’t hold my attention like the first one.

Hey Roberto Hu is a storybook of short stories about the author's trips. The first story describes the visit he took to see his son in Venezuela. He does a great job describing all the fun adventures he had all through Venezuela, from the big cities to the small towns! The author's writing style is very easy to read. You are able to close your eyes and visualize what he is writing about. The color illustrations in the book are nice touch! Highly recommend!

Hey Roberto Hu by Matthias Leue is travel memoir made up of short stories of the author’s various trips. The title story is the most interesting of the book. It chronicles a visit to see his son Patrick in Venezuela. It’s filled with fun and interesting adventures while staying in various accommodations and driving through varied terrain. From the capital city of Caracas to small towns and up the fog filled mountains. The author does a good job of describing the people and places he encounters along the way. Other stories include trips in California and Oregon. You’ll get to know his son Patrick more, along with his girlfriend Hannah. And one of my favorite characters in the book, his amusing cat Calvin.
This story collection is a light read. The author’s writing style is straightforward and easy to digest in one or two sittings. If you like travel stories I would recommend this book.
