This is a cute little non-fiction book about Groundhogs and Groundhog Day. The text is short, perfect for emerging readers. The children will find out about groundhogs, what they eat, when they sleep etc. as well as what happens on Groundhog Day. This would be a great companion book to the fictional "It's Groundhog Day, Dear Dragon" by the same publisher. At the end of the book there are activities a teacher or caregiver could do with the reader as well as a list of words used in the book.

This is a great book for children learning about various holidays, this one being Christmas. It talks about Christmas colours, some traditions, trees, decorating and more. It is a secular story and does not discuss the Christian aspect of Christmas. It is a beginning basal reader that had realistic pictures to accompany the words. The text is short, perfect for emerging readers. This would be a great companion book to "Merry Christmas, Dear Dragon" by the same publisher. At the end of the book there are activities a teacher or caregiver could do with the reader as well as a list of words used in the book. A great book for classrooms and school libraries. The main facts are probably exactly what a parent or teacher would use to describe the celebrations surrounding St. Patrick's Day. This would be a great companion book to "It's St. Patrick's Day, Dear Dragon" by the same publisher. At the end of the book there are activities a teacher or caregiver could do with the reader to reinforce what was read as well as a list of words used in the book.
