Quick, enjoyable, and, yes, quirky little guide to the keyboard. For a small book, this one covers a lot of ground. It begins with a brief history of the keyboard itself, from typesetting, to typewriting, to computers. Then the author takes each key in turn and gives an overview of that character's history and uses.

Being a self-professed "word nerd," I of course was drawn to this book about letters and characters. It really is a fascinating look at something we tend to take for granted. I highly recommend it!… (mer)
