This book is like getting how-to advice straight from the landscaper's mouth. She shows how to keep records, how far apart to plant stuff, what it will look like at first, and in a few months. She tells how to keep plants looking good, and how to make a shopping list for plants. She describes many of the basic, less exciting, but critical tasks that others skip over as too mundane. I learned a lot.

Down-to-earth, practical for the do-it-yourselfer, more helpful than a lot of more expensive books on the same subject.
