This book is like sitting down to read three volumes of the Encyclopedia Brittanica. It has an enormous range of subjects from great gardening hints to cold remedies, carpentry fixes, and even recipes. I read about all the subjects that interested me and skimmed the ones that didn't.
Love the idea of using non-gel toothpaste instead of running to the store to buy spackle. If you don't have enough eggs, you can replace one with a teaspoon of baking powder. A great idea of drying sweaters, a fun way of cleaning oil and grease-covered tools, and many illustrations and instructions on how make children's toys are just a few of the tips.… (mer)
