F. H. Martens was a music journalist and writer from the U.S.A. He also translated a number of books for children.

A Thousand and one nights of opera av Frederick Herman Martens
One of the few things I shall miss when I leave this planet is opera, and this little volume reminds me why. Not that opera has necessarily always been, in Dr Johnson's immortal words, "an exotic and irrational entertainment", but still, it is more than fun to dip into this volume and read about such delights as a Bolshevik version of LOHENGRIN!
This is an interesting collection of many Chinese fairy tales. They are short, and could easily be added to a quick lesson for more culture. They are perfect for Chinese New Year. (Description from Class Libray)
