This book was a mixed bag for me. While I liked the fact that it included both low-rep (strength-oriented) and higher-rep (bodybuilding-oriented) type work, I strongly disliked one thing -- the program is just too complicated. Having to go through 4 different cycles, including a couple full of exercises that are uncommon or even arcane, will be offputting to many.

The nutrition portion of the book seemed to have it right, though, emphasizing both quantity (yes, you have to eat a lot to get bigger) as well as quality. This stands in contrast to some coaches who advocate just shoveling it all in during bulking phases in a desperate attempt for calories.

All in all, worth a read if you're a hardgainer, but I doubt many will put in all the effort to learn the entire program -- and I'm not sure doing that would be necessary.
