Alex Milway - Mousehunter! Young adventurers climb aboard! Be ready for thrills on the high seas with author and illustrator Alex Milway and encounter some extraordinary mice - some with wings, some with trunks, some with claws as big as daggers. Alex is the author of the Mousehunter books, which feature Emiline, the young mousekeeper for the famous mouse collector, Isaiah Lovelock, who secretly dreams of being a real mousehunter and going to sea. Pirates and mice play a huge role in this thrilling new fantasy in which plucky Emiline stows away to hunt down the fearsome pirate Mousebeard (who has mice living in his beard) and do bloodthirsty battle to save the mice of the world. Alex will guide wannabe mouse catchers through how to dream up and draw their own species of mice on Saturday 4th April at 12.30pm in the Roysse Room, Guildhall, Abingdon.
