For a fantasy that covers a lot of elements, for a story that progresses through different interesting stages and plot lines, for an MC who feels real

Thoughts:
I'm really glad I got the collection of the first four novels, because if I had to stop at the end of any of the different books I would have been mad. And that is always a good sign! I was delighted to learn there's even another after this set, which I will be picking up soon. I'm not sure if that one is the end of the series or not, and I'm also not sure if I want it to be.

The magic of twisting elements is cleverly done, though I feel there were some obvious possibilities that were overlooked. It's still fun to see all the ways the element manipulation is used and how it shapes - pun? - the culture of Kamdaria. Elemental magic is nothing totally new and crazy, but it was done well with some really gorgeous creations and descriptions (like the fire blossom tree!!!).

Some of the main plot points were predictable, but partly just because I've read so much of a similar genre. The journey and moments in between were fantastic, though. I really appreciated how the characters would point out moments that would usually be conveniently glossed over and leave the reader struggling to suspend disbelief. There were none of those here, as the characters themselves acknowledged when something was totally ridiculous. Running over broken glass barefoot? Yes, that will be a problem. No supernatural heroes here!

This was an enjoyable collection, but it didn't blow me away. I think there's potential for it to do so, though, and each section of the story got better in terms of writing style and plot complexity. This is the third and final book of this series, and wow am I sad it's over.

This one was even better, I have to say that this third book was my favorite and the perfect ending to this trilogy.

Truth Changer picks up right where the second book ended, and what a rollercoaster ride! These are some of my favourite characters this year so far, and seeing how their stories would play out, well lets just say, there were a lot of emotions!!

The plot is very clear and and well-built out. The world building is rich, beautiful and well-rounded. I really like the book and loved this series! I definitely recommend checking it out!

After reading and loving book one I had to read this one! I am so glad that I read this, the action flows non stop and these characters bring new meaning to bravery. This one was even better, which is saying something, since sequels are not always as good! Healer did not disappoint.

Healer picks up right where the first book ended, and we are submerged into the action from page one, and it continues seamlessly throughout. What a rollercoaster ride! The characters continue to evolve; they have so much depth and continue to amaze me. The plot is very clear and and well-built out. The world building is rich, beautiful and well-rounded.

Overall, I really like the book and I am definitely looking forward for the next one!

The synopsis instantly grabbed my attention and I am so glad that I read this.

This novel sets in Egypt in the year 2121 wherein the technology is so much advance that you can easily access it by using your ring to project a hologram. But then, what if you have a hila, which I'm guessing is some kind of sixth sense or superpower? I wish it was explained a bit better tbh.

Imara Kalu, the main character, is a truth seer, which means she can identify if a person if lying as she can see colors that define if that person is nervous, hoping, anxious, etc. She is looking forward to be a police interrogator in Kenya and was set to travel right after the graduation party. Things get chaotic when a group called "taggers" cause a stir in the party and kidnapped a few people, including Imara's sister Naki. Not going to spoil toooo much, but you'll have to read this one for sure!

The characters were intriguing, the plot and world building were both developed and interesting, I just wish the characters had more depth tbh.

Overall, I really like the book and I am definitely looking forward for the next one!
