Trained as an economist, Professor Nasar has written for the New York Times, Fortune, U.S. News & World Report, The New Yorker, Newsweek and The London Telegraph among numerous other publications. She has lectured frequently on topics ranging from globalization and economics to mental illness and mathematics. She is currently writing a narrative history about 20th-century economic thinkers. Professor Nasar is the first Knight Professor of Business Journalism and co-directs the M.A. program in business journalism at Columbia University.
