However in this one we are introduced to the youngest McKenzie daughter Emma. She fell in love with a young man by the name of Julian McClallister. Her family took him after the tragedy in his family that claim his parents. What happened that night only he knows, He is and he is not saying.Now you do not touch your best friends sister- that is the code,But the more Julian tries to stay away from Emma he is drawn to her,And during one night a party they are caught in the hallway in a situation where he was manhandling her. Can you believe that Garrett actually found them there in the hall and Julian was fondling her breast? Well he did. Now everyone is upset. Everyone except for Emma that is, as Julian was about to ask for her hand . He just got carried away.
Julian is afraid for Emma as all the men in his family have gone mad and killed themselves and their wives, He doesn't want that to happen to him therefore he has decided not to ever have any children. Emma doesn't believe those rumors or the gossips. She believes in Julian and their love,She fell in love with long ago and has been all this time. Can they over the tragedy of his past that haunts him? Do they finally find love and happiness with each other? For these answers and more you are going to have to read this fantastic romantic story of Julian and Emmas love for each other. The Perfect Lady is about another McKenzie -this one is by the name of Captain James McKenzie, It seems one night at a party the captain a young women got very drunk and had a very lovely time in the bed together. However , neither don't remember much from that night at all. Now Rebecca fathers is trying to marry her off to man that she can not marry, He tries to tell her father why but he becomes upset and calls her a common whore. He then demands that she is locked in her room until he says otherwise. Her father, Mr Alexander goes in search of Captain McKenzie to have him make things right. If this is true then he will marry her, The captain and Mr Alexander go back to the house to confront Rebecca about her statement. And it seems that what she told her father is true. The captain did in deed have a tryst with Ms Rebecca one night . Therefore is no way around it- to keep gossip down as much as possible they will be married the sooner the better.
The Captain and Rebecca marry and set sail from the West Indies to America. They travel back to his home - along the way they come to realize that they really love each. But does the Captains past come back to haunt and stop them staying together?? And does the Captain finally realize that Rebecca is The Perfect Lady after all?? I recommend this book for all to read. Ms Nee has done it again this book is awesome!! And even better than the first one. Ms Nee has a true talent with words and story telling . she can make them come to life and jump off the page right before your eyes. In Playing in Fire we find Drew the youngest of the McKenzie's brothers in the House of Eros. Where young women are being bidded upon. One catches his eye her name is Heather Morgan. She came be there as her father sold her to pay off his debts. ( Man that bites big time- to think a father would that to his own child). And rate Drew finds himself bidding to safe her from a fate with another that would ruin her or could even kill her. He ends up paying a high price for her. Takes her to his house. Only to learn that he has to leave for his home to take care of family business. He takes Heather with him. Drew sees Heather as his mistress an nothing more. He has been burned by another - has lost all faith in women now. He will use them as mistress but will not marry-or so he says. This story is very moving-romantic-compelling-page turning/edge of your seat. This is an amazing love story set in the historical setting. In order to see how this book ends and how and what happens to Drew and Heather you will have to read Playing with Fire. As Drew really does play with Fire !!. The Pursuit is about the oldest McKenzie brother Garrett- and him taking a maid by the name of Katherine. Now at first when he meet her , she is working as a barmaid in a pup by the bay. But he offers her a job in his employ as a maid. One that he hopes she will accepts. Katherine agrees and soon finds herself working as his maid - but also having to help do cooking -which she doesn't know anything about doing.
Now Garrett and Katherine have a lot of ups and downs between them. There are also alot of interesting twists and turns. Along the way they find out about each other and how much they care for each other. This is a historical romance and must read for all.
