Las siete princesas av Ilyas Ibn Yusuf Nizami
Es una de las obras capitales de la literatura persa. Este poema místico traducido en prosa, que cuenta la historia del rey Bahram, reúne los recursos y la inspiración de diversos géneros: el relato fantástico, los textos sapienciales, el poema heroico, el poema de caballerías, el romance, la fábula, las historias de amor.
El autor ha sido especialmente reconocido por su obra narrativa, recogida en el conjunto titulado Los cinco tesoros. Las siete princesas aquí por primera vez en español, es el cuarto de esos "tesoros" y una de las obras capitales de la literatura persa. Este poema místico traducido en prosa, que cuenta la historia del rey Bahram, reúne los recursos y la inspiración de diversos géneros: el relato fantástico, los textos sapienciales, el poema heroico, el poema de caballerías, el romance, la fábula. Un colorido caleidoscopio de metáforas y símbolos, entretejidos en una trama narrativa de sublime sensualidad. -
The author has been especially recognized for his narrative work, collected in the set entitled The Five Treasures. The seven princesses here for the first time in Spanish, is the fourth of those "treasures" and one of the capital works of Persian literature. This mystic poem translated into prose, which tells the story of King Bahram, brings together the resources and inspiration of various genres: the fantastic story, the wisdom texts, the heroic poem, the poem of chivalry, romance, the fable. The greatest love story because nothing is conceded to the convential outlook. Majnun is the archtype of the true lover.
