After Cindy writes a non-fiction book about serial killer Evan Burke, her life is in danger. Blackout is copycat killer modeling his murders on those of Burke. When Cindy is kidnapped, Lindsay and the Women's Murder Club are devastated. Lindsay starts questioning whether she should remain a detective, needs to consider her family, Joe and Julie, esp. after realizing that Blackout is targeting all of them.
Yuki is arguing a high-profile attempted murder case between a husband and wife, and the participants are compromised by Blackout. Brady and Lindsay try to meet with Burke to get his help on finding Cindy.
Quick read-always entertaining.

This book truly tugged at my heartstrings. That doesn't mean it lacked explosive crime drama. Not a page went by without bullets flying and bombs exploding—belly bombs this time! While Lieutenents Lindsay and Richy are tracking down the outrageous killers that create these horrific surprises for burger lovers, Cindy is stalking her own killer—Mackie Morales, serial killer Randy Fish's girlfriend. When I thought the plot couldn't get any crazier, Yuki and Brady are hi-jacked at sea! I love this series because the chapters are short, the dialog is witty, and the characters are endearing. Sometimes, the outlandish situations skirt the edge of plausibility, but it's never dull or tedious with filler or backstories. Needless to say, it's best to read the series in order. It's like tuning into your favorite soap opera.… (mer)

This is such a great series. Lindsay Boxer is a SFPD homicide detective. Her partner is Rich Conklin. She's married to Joe. The Women's Murder Club consists of Lindsay, Claire (the ME), Yuki (attorney) and Cindy (crime investigator for the newspaper).

This book consists of a killer targeting homeless people. Lindsay is approached by a woman who tells her about a few murders and that the PD isn't doing anything about it so Lindsay starts investigating.

In conjunction with that investigation, Yuki has a trial of a man accusing a woman of raping him. He has a video so it's a open-and-shut case. Or is it?… (mer)

I think this particular series is great. The Women's Murder Club consists of Lindsay Boxer, an SFPD detective, Claire Washburn, the Medical Examiner, Yuki Castellano, an attorney and Cindy Thomas, a crime reporter for a San Francisco newspaper. This story starts out with a bombing of a science museum in San Francisco. While the SFPD is investigating this incident, the ME discovers that there may be a serial killer in SF and this is investigated concurrently. Each story in the series is different and the Women's Murder Club work together, when needed, to assist each other and find information, clues or just to bounce ideas/strategies off each other.

If you haven't started this series, you should.
