I found this tale of erotic time travel just too complicated to let me focus on its many threads of intrigue. Its heroine flips without warning between centuries and situations which are invariably stimulating, but so different in their different varieties of fetishistic appeal: mostly punishment, cross-dressing, and bondage, that I kept losing the erotic spell needed for this genre. Individual scenarios are nicely described, with some intensity, but I found the fragmentation too grainy to let the book hang together.… (mer)
