Summary:
At a young age Cinderella losses her Mother; gains a step-mother and two step-sisters; and then losses her Father. To earn her keep and because the step-mother is jealous, she is made to be a servant in the house she grew up in. But Cinderella's future begins to change for the better when all the maidens of the land are invited to a ball at the castle, where the prince is to choose his princess-to-be. With the help of her fair-godmother, Cinderella is able to go to the ball and have the prince fall in love with her. Cinderella is happy even when she must flee the ball before the fair-godmother's magic wears off, in which she losses her glass slipper. This glass slipper is found by the prince and is used to find Cinderella, and they live HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Personal Reaction:
Cinderella is of course one of my favorite love stories. The story shows that love can condor evil and there is happiness for everyone. With that being said and being realistic not all endings are happy endings, but the story is the altitude fairy-tail and gives hope to all that read it.

Extension: It is a Disney story book. The illustrations are good and colorful. The faces illustrate excitement, disappointment, disgust, and of course happiness. In a class room roll playing or dress up would be wonderful with this book, even dressing like animals would be fun.

After her father died, Cinderella, a widowed gentleman's daughter, was at the mercy of her stepmother and two stepsisters, Anatasia and Drizella. Filled with jealousy and fear, the stepmother made Cinderella a servant in the home. One day a ball was announced for the land's prince. Cinderella persevered and made it to the ball following the assistance of a fairy godmother and a group of friendly mice. To conclude the "lived happily ever after," A lost glass slipper changes the fate of Cinderella's servant future and the prince's life.

The only part of the book I enjoy reading is when Cinderella receives help from the mice, Fairy Godmother, and marries the prince. The lesson comes from the improper actions of the stepmother and stepsisters. The colorful illustrations bring Fairy Godmother's abilities to life.

In the classroom, I would read this book during letter "p" week in pre-kindergarten--"p" is for princess.
