Scholarly yet accessible, the book is an excellent resource on Early Medieval clothing. Textile manufacture, fiber sources, clothing construction and probable accessories are all considered and documented from archaeological finds. A must-have reference for re-enactors, or anyone with a serious interest in Anglo Saxon and other northern European clothing of the period.
