All creatures in the wood are strange but, Stickler is by far the most different. And Stickler loves sticks the most, except clouds, bats, stones moss, bees, bark, birds, plants, a happy rabbit, a weepy tree, and a slimy frog.
With his ever changing eyes, he can discover so very many different things to love, especially a world with so very many weird things. When he discovers a black object with legs and a can on it's head, Stickler wants to show the strange things he discovers such as a morning sun, flowers that smell good , waves, and smelly fish.
When Sticlkler removes the can off the object with legs, he discovers his friend crow. And then, Stickler opens the eys of the crow the see everything differently.
The illustrations in this book are incredible. Thus far, this is my favorite Lane Smith book!!! It is a must for anyone who appreciats great art of illustrations!… (mer)
