Eek - every "look" she put together seemed like it came straight from the 90s, even though it was published just last year!
Anyone who loves a good flea market, looking at projects on Pinterest, or up-cycling different things will enjoy this book by Good Morning America's Lara Spencer. Lara walks you through updating different rooms in your house by using different vintage finds in miraculous ways. Along the way, she gives you tips and tricks to help you think about updating a space to utilize its full potential. I could feel my creative juices flowing as I read through the book. She has a lot of ideas I would like to try that aren't difficult to execute. Definitely check this out if you are a DIYer!

Inspiring, tips, tricks, advice, how-to's, and results. Loads of different room examples. Very unique ideas that would be easy to replicate at home.
Great fun! Could easily be another eat-your-heart-out decorator exercise, but Spencer's breezy, self-deprecating tone makes the book genuinely fun to read. The interiors are inspiring, though perhaps she makes it look TOO easy. (I've tried my hand at refinishing furniture, and it was a much bigger deal than she implies -- or maybe I have less patience?) Very enjoyable book.
