So, um, I kinda read this one straight through, for two reasons. One, each of these three characters is great. Each has family background, past and current, each has his own goals and life even though two of them have been best buddies since they were fourteen. And two, the way the author dovetailed the plot with the points of view meant there was rarely a stopping point! I love how they sidle up to what they actually need. Beautifully done!

There are some editing flaws, both typos and logical. I hope some day the latter are seen to. But meanwhile, I recommend this one for people wanting to understand how polyamory might work, (there are as many ways as there are people attempting it), and to people who would like non-eruptive conflicts. All three of these characters are new to lasting love relationships. But they trust each other, even when hurt, even when separated, and that is a hallmark of the basis of polyamory. Arguments and upsets are just hurdles if you can remember, sooner or later, that you're all on the same side, fighting for the same thing.

I imagine there are readers who think this resolves "too easily" but take this from a 36-year veteran of polyamory, in one stable six-person family all that time; yes. If you are able to love more than one person, it can happen this easily. It happened for me.… (mer)
